THE QUALIFYING ROUND
MARCH 7 – OCTOBER 19, 2018
To make it to the Championship Weekend, you have to qualify first. Over a thousand qualifying rounds will take place across North America. This year, competitors can use their own IDEAL tools as they race against the clock to complete the challenge.
The top Professional and Student/Apprentice from each state/territory, the top five Professional and Student/Apprentice teams from the U.S., and the top Professional and Student/Apprentice team from Canada will advance to the Championship Weekend. In addition, the top 3 individual competitors from 2017 will be returning for their chance to defend their title.
And new for 2018, there will be 24 Wild Card slots available for the 12 fastest individuals (Professional and Student/Apprentice) in the U.S. who do not win their state’s bid.
